Do Chanel Le Lift eye patches actually work? Chanel Le Lift under eye patches pros, cons and before and after results

I originally bought the CHANEL Le Lift eye patches because my under-eye lines and hooded lids are two of my biggest aging concerns, although I’ll admit the little CHANEL logos might have had something to do with it too! Two years later, I’m still using them, still love them and regularly buy them as gifts for friends and family. I’ve tried a lot of under-eye patches since first writing this review, and these remain some of the most noticeably brightening I’ve used. They leave my eye area looking brighter, smoother and more refreshed, especially when my eyes are looking tired.

Are CHANEL eye patches worth it? For me, yes. They’re expensive for eye patches, but I find the results more noticeable than most I’ve tried, the CHANEL logos make them fun to wear, and with the original version I reviewed, the separate bottle of serum lasted much longer than the patches themselves.

There has been an important update since I originally published this review though: CHANEL has changed LE LIFT FLASH EYE. My before-and-after photos and original testing below are of the previous two-step serum and patch system, while the current version is a one-step treatment with the skincare ingredients incorporated into the patches themselves. Here’s my original first-hand review and before-and-after results, along with what’s changed in the new CHANEL LE LIFT FLASH EYE patches.

2026 UPDATE: CHANEL LE LIFT FLASH EYE HAS CHANGED

CHANEL has updated its LE LIFT FLASH EYE patches since I originally tested and photographed them for this review. The version shown in my original before-and-after testing below was a two-step system with a separate LE LIFT eye serum followed by the CHANEL hydrogel patches.

The current CHANEL LE LIFT FLASH EYE is a one-step treatment. The box contains 10 pairs of under-eye patches enriched with low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid and other hydrating and targeted eye-care ingredients. CHANEL says the new patches are designed to visibly smooth, firm, plump and brighten the eye area while reducing the appearance of puffiness and dark circles.

I’m keeping my original review and before-and-after photos below because they show my genuine results from the version I personally tested rather than pretending my results came from the reformulated product.

What are the benefits of CHANEL LE LIFT eye patches?

The current LE LIFT FLASH EYE patches (both the old and new versions) are designed to perk up tired-looking eyes with both immediate and cumulative benefits. According to CHANEL’s testing, immediately after use the eye area appeared 74% brighter and 20% more awake. After 10 days, the appearance of fine lines was reduced by 23%, dark circles appeared 31% less intense and puffiness looked 40% reduced. After four weeks, skin appeared 14% firmer and 26% more radiant.

The formula now contains a high concentration of low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid for its hydrating and plumping benefits, alongside a hyaluronic acid booster and CHANEL’s eye complex targeting the appearance of puffiness and dark circles.

Those are CHANEL’s study results rather than my personal percentages, but the brightening and smoothing effects align with what I noticed most in my own testing of the previous version. Brightening is still the main reason I personally rate CHANEL’s patches above most other eye patches I’ve tried.

What is Chanel Le Lift serum and eye patches

Chanel Le Lift Flash Eye revitalizer is a unique anti-aging two-step eye care system unlike any I’ve seen before. Most eye patches or eye masks come with the product on them and you just apply those. The Chanel under eye patches are different in that the eye serum is separate to the eye patches.

The Chanel eye patches come with ten sets of two hydrogel patches and 1 Le Lift Serum. You start with the intense roll-on Chanel Le Lift serum that uses targeted skin firming ingredients, then place the Chanel hydrogel patches over it for better efficacy and leave on for 10 minutes for immediate revitalization and radiance.

The 1st part of the Chanel Le Lift eye patches is the Chanel Le Lift Serum. What I like about this whole system is that the Chanel eye serum formula is so intense and well formulated. I do believe you get what you pay for, for the most part.

The Chanel LE LIFT line’s exclusive key ingredient is 3.5-DA. A compound that’s 50 times more concentrated than the original molecule. Which they say intuitively detects and targets individual factors of aging to provide optimal firming efficacy making it really a custom anti-aging eye treatment.

Chanel Le Lift serum also has a vitamin complex of B3, C and E that help to protect your skin and boost radiance. The added benefit that most eye masks don’t have is that you apply the serum with a metal roll-on tip which has a cooling and depuffing effect. The ingredients also help to instantly reduce dark circles, the appearance of fine lines and firm and lift skin. All of which are boosted by the revitalizing power of the patches.

The second part of the Chanel Le Lift eye patch treatment is the eye patch itself. These work synergistically with the Chanel Le Lift serum to help with it’s absorption and efficacy. Besides how pretty they are, they actually help to smooth and energize the eye contour. The patches themselves are also enriched with targeted ingredients to revitalize, depuff and smooth the appearance of eye wrinkles and crows feet.

As you can tell, I’ve already tried these and loved them but I’ll get into more of the why, if I think they’re worth the expense or not, and tips for how to use them.

I put Chanel Le Lift Flash Eye Patches to the test in this honest review. Here’s what makes them so special, their ingredients, how to use them (plus some application tips I found worked the best, before and after results, benefits, cost and whether I think they’re worth it or not.

How to Use the New CHANEL LE LIFT FLASH EYE Patches

CHANEL’s current directions are much simpler and the treatment is much faster: apply under each eye, leave for five minutes, remove and massage in the remaining serum.

You can either use these for special occasions or use them continuously for 10 days to enhance your LE LIFT ritual. If you’re doing the intense 10 day ritual, you’d apply the serum in the morning and then repeat the serum in the evening with the addition of the patches.

  1. Start with a makeup free, clean dry face.
  2. Swipe the Chanel Le Lift serum roller ball 5 times from the inner to outer corner of each eye on both under your eyes and on your eye lids.
  3. Gently pat and smooth the Le Lift serum in.
  4. Apply the eye patches under each eye.
  5. Leave on for 10 minutes.
  6. Gently remove the eye masks.
  7. Apply the Chanel serum, eye cream and face creme or your usual skincare routine.

I found I got the best results when I left them on for 40 minutes versus 10 minutes. You might want to do a skin sensitivity test and check your eyes after 10 minutes before deciding on whether to leave them on for longer or not.

Do CHANEL Eye Patches Actually Work? My Before & After Results

I absolutely love these and, two years after originally writing this review, I’m still buying them. When I originally tested the previous LE LIFT formula for 10 minutes, my results were fairly minimal. When I left them on for 40 minutes, the difference was much more noticeable: my under-eye area looked significantly brighter and more illuminated, and a lot of my fine lines appeared smoother.

They’re not Botox and I could obviously still see lines when I smiled, but the immediate brightening and smoothing were noticeable enough for me to keep repurchasing them.

Since then, I’ve tried plenty of other eye patches and CHANEL remains one of the most brightening formulas I’ve personally used. That’s the biggest visible benefit for me. I also love using them before events or when my eyes look particularly tired because they make the whole area look fresher and more awake.

And yes, the little CHANEL logos are completely unnecessary, but they also make them much more fun to wear!

I’m not alone in loving Chanel Le Lift, it scores 4.5/5 on Chanel’s website reviews.

Price: How much do Chanel Eye Patches cost

The original Chanel Le Lift eye patches shown here cost around $145 which breaks down to about $14.5 per treatment (before tax) versus the new ones which cost $120 for 10. It’s one of those luxury skincare products that sounds expensive until you break it down and also see how well they work.

Are CHANEL Eye Patches Worth It? My Verdict After 2 Years

For me, yes. After two years, I still think CHANEL LE LIFT eye patches are worth it and I’ve repurchased them for myself and bought them as gifts for friends and family. They’re certainly not the cheapest eye patches, so I wouldn’t use them as an everyday necessity. I see them more as a luxury skincare treatment for before events, after travel or whenever my eyes need an extra boost.

What keeps me coming back is the brightening effect. I’ve tested a lot of eye patches and very few make my under-eye area look as noticeably brighter and refreshed. I also loved the value of the original two-step version because the bottle of LE LIFT serum lasted far longer than the 10 pairs of patches, so I could continue using the serum after I’d run out of masks.

The current version no longer includes that separate serum, so that particular value advantage has unfortunately disappeared. However, at $120 for 10 treatments, the new patches work out at around $12 per treatment before tax. Would I buy them again? Yes, although for me they’re a luxury treat rather than an essential skincare step.

I’ve shared them from a few stores in case you have a favorite place to shop. As well as the Dior Backstage eye patches in case you’re interested in comparing those.
