Shoes can make or break the outfit! These were the ones that made them at the 2025 Academy Awards from classic satin pumps to strappy heels
Oscars 2025 red carpet shoes and fashion was feminine and colorful this year. While classic stiletto pumps ruled supreme on the red carpet at the 2025 Oscars there were still some equally pretty bow and pearl adorned strappy sandals too. Oscar shoes sometimes get overlooked as all of the attention turns to the gowns but they can make or break an outfit and are one of the fashion footwear edits I look forward to the most. As I love heels and more glam styles vs everyday footwear. The 2025 Oscars saw celebrities like Paula Chalamet, Ariana Grande, and Emma Stone wearing some of the most classic but on trend shoes at the Oscars. For 2025, there was a suprising amount of peep toe platform sandals as well. A lot of Oscar nominees, actresses and A-listers shoes go unseen under gowns at the Oscars but these are the celebs footwear that were on show and I’m so glad they were. When you opt for a gown that shows your shoes, they better be red carpet worthy! Here’s how to copy the best of the celebrities shoes from award night.
Platform heels are always a great choice to wear with gowns. To help give a height boost and because thicker soles are often a lot more comfortable than dainty strappy sandals. A block heel is also less likely to get stuck in the hem of a gown than a thicker heel but it was satin stiletto pumps that stole the spotlight and are a classic choice that are still majorly in style for 2025.

Susan Downey in a wine red sequin gown and matching platform heels
Susan Downey’s head to toe rich red 2025 Oscars red carpet look and shoes were one of my personal favorites. It was the perfect combination of elegant and sexy. The fit of the one shoulder sequin gown which I believe is Lavashak, was immaculate and the matching burgundy patent platform heels completed the look to perfection. They complimented rather than distracted from the gown.
From the shoes we could see under the gowns, platform peep toe heel sandals and pointed toe stiletto heel pumps were the most worn styles this awards season.
Meg Ryan Oscars 2025 look | Strapless wine strapless velvet gown and black platform heelss
Meg Ryan’s Oscars 2025 shoes were simple black satin patent platform heels that let her strapless gown take the spotlight. Because the dress was such a glam statement style, I’m glad she went with Prada shoes that complimented rather than competed with her red carpet gown.
Coralie Fargeat | Black patent pumps Oscars 2025 shoes
Coralie Fargeat was nominated as Best Director for the movie The Substance. Her Oscar look was a sparkly strapless fitted black Versace gown with classic black patent stiletto heels. When the dress and the necklace have that much of a wow factor, keeping the shoes simple creates a beautiful balance. This delicate pair of feminine, black glossy heels hit the mark perfectly. These are one pair of Oscar shoes you can easily copy!
Emma Stone in a champagne sequin gown and gold strappy heel sandals
Emma Stone shone like a thousand spotlights in her custom, shimmering champagne Louis Vuitton gown. You know I love a ultra glam, high shine moment and this sequin gown was stunning. From the fit to the styling. I love how the stylist tied the gold satin ankle strap heel sandals in with the color of the sequin gown perfectly. Emma’s were probably custom died, so I scouted out the next best things.
Laura Blount in a black gown and black strappy heel sandals with pearl details
Laura Blount Oscar 2025 shoes complimented the gold embellishments on her emerald green gown perfectly. The gold stiletto heel pumps kept the feminine ultra glam vibe. The lack of an ankle strap creates a flattering, leg lengthening look.
Coco Jones Oscars 2025 custom Coach red carpet look and black sandals kept the glam vibes going strong
You can always count on Coco Jones to bring something a bit different to the red carpet. Her custom Coach gown was made from vintage scraps of fabric Coach pieces to create a glam, figure hugging gown. The dainty black strappy sandals were the perfect choice for her Oscars shoes to keep the look feminine.
