The ASOS dresses hits and misses
ASOS dress haul and review just in time for Spring and Summer. ASOS is always great for variety, price ranges, free shipping and returns. Plus they also have their ASOS petite range which saves on tailoring for us girls under 5’3″ and ASOS tall collection. These 8 summer dresses start at $16.50 (on sale) to $139 and there’s something for all occasions including a beach maxi dress, casual, brunch, date night, wedding guest dresses, boho styles and an ASOS white summer dress. Some are from their regular collection and some from ASOS petite so you can see how the sizing runs.

ASOS Summer Dress Review
Some of these ASOS dresses went straight in the return pile and some I can’t wait to wear. I’ve also shared how the sizing runs as it’s not consistent, especially between brands. I also find the ASOS petite collection runs really short. It says it’s for women under 5’3″ but I’m 5’2″ and prefer their regular collection. However, I do have long legs for my height (31″ inseam) so that could be the issue.
International Sizing Tip
This isn’t just for ASOS but most brands to this incorrectly. UK to US size conversions are always wrong! I was born in England and lived there until I was 22, a US 0 is not a UK 4 even by a long stretch. I’m a US 00/0 but wear a UK 6-8 so if in doubt size up or order both sizes and keep the one that fits best.
ASOS has an online fit assistant that will suggest the size they recommend that you order which is usually pretty accurate. Although their return policy is really good incase you do end up with the wrong size ASOS dress and need to do an exchange.
The ASOS Petite Collection
ASOS Petite is designed specifically for women 5’3”/1.60m and under so that we’re not dragging the hems along the floor or having to tailor everything. Their petite models are listed as 5’3″ under the size and fit.
However, I’m 5’2″ and find the ASOS dresses in their petite collection runs too short for me and that their regular collection works better for me. I am all legs to be fair, 31″ inseam. So if you’re 5’2″ + you might prefer the regular collection too unless you have shorter legs or like mini dresses on the shorter side.
