Who What Wear

1. Asymmetric white skirt | 2026 skirt trends
Asymmetric skirts have been popping up everywhere and it’s a trend that’s going strong for 2026 in all colors. White looks fresh for Spring and Summer outfits and can be styled with a simple t-shirt or bodysuit with slingback heels or wedge mules. As seen at Loewe and Alaïa Spring/Summer 2026 in various colors.
2. Tiered or ruffle tiered white skirts
Tiered white skirts are back in fashion for 2026 in a major way but a more fun and flirty way to wear it than your white pencil skirt.
Style your ruffle skirts with matching boots and even a matching leather jacket for a cohesive, monochromatic look. To break things up, style a asymmetric white skirt with a different color button down blouse, or long sleeve bodysuit. For the evening, style them with glam white corset tops or a simple white spaghetti camisole. To keep proportions balanced if the top is fitted go for an a-line or more voluminous skirt and vice-versa if the skirts fitted.

3. Fringed white skirts
Whether it’s a white midi or maxi skirt, fringed skirts are very much back in style for 2026. From glam flapper partywear as seen at Bottega Veneta SS2026 to boho, beachy vibes, it’s a fun skirt trend to play around with.
A white midi skirt with a white blouse or long sleeve bodysuit, wide belt and knee high boots looks fresh for Spring. For Summer, I personally love long, white crochet skirts for beach vacations for getting a breeze going and a style that doesn’t need ironing.
Pro shopping tip: this is a harder skirt hem to have tailored so if you’re petite be mindful of the length you order.

4. White sequin skirts
White sequin skirts of all lengths (and of all colors) were all over the 2026 runways and are definitely a skirt trend we’re predicting will be huge for 2026. Not just for the evening but for the day too.
Stying tip: Don’t be afraid of styling them with plain t-shirts or over stirrup leggings for the day or with a top that has a pop of color. For a classic and sophisticated look, style them with a tailored blazer and ladylike slingback heels.
5. Pleated white skirts
Preppy pleated white mini skirts styled with loafers, and polo necks are still in style for 2026. Along with pleated knit midis and maxi’s for an equally timeless but more elegant look.
Pro shopping tip: If shopping for a white pleated mini skirt, look for a skort or style with built in shorts to make them more wearable and easier to get in and out of the car, etc.

6. Skirt trends 2026 | Voluminous skirt styles
Circle, swing, poodle, bubble hem, tea-length or whatever you want to call this style of voluminous skirt is back in a big way for 2026. This is one of those skirt styles I adore for it’s elegance and femininity, but as a petite woman find hard to pull longer lengths. I find bubble mini skirts much easier to pull off than the longer voluminous styles.
Definitely make sure the top stays more fitted and/or add a cinch belt when going for more voluminous skirts to create a more defined wasp waist. So that you don’t get swamped in material and turn into a marshmallow.

Dior, Alaia, and Patbo have some of the best iterations of this white midi skirt style.

I hunted high and low for the best white skirts from mini’s to maxi, glam styles to casual summer styles, satin, sequins, and everything in between. Alaia has one of the best designer skirts and Revolve has some really fashion forward skirts for under $100.
I’ve also rounded up a few matching white skirt sets as I’m a big fan of buying actual outfits rather than having a wardrobe full of random pieces and nothing to wear.
