The essential layering piece for the perfect base
Express body contour bodysuits are the wardrobe basic that everybody needs and here’s why. As an Express Style Editor I thoroughly research the benefits of each piece and evaluate their value. How much will they get worn? How many ways can they be styled? Express Body Contour bodysuits are one of those core wardrobe basics and base layers I can’t stress the importance and value of enough. Forget see-through white bodysuits or flimsy pieces that fade or pill after the first wash. These are designed to feel like a second skin and to be a versatile piece that you can wear again and again.

Express Body Contour bodysuits review
Since Express is known not just for event dressing but every day dressing I’m starting off my Express women’s styling tips with a simple Express bodysuit from the Express Body Contour collection. To show you the power & value of investing in a few basic core pieces by styling them multiple ways.

This white thong bodysuit is from the Express body contour line. I also have a white V neck halterneck, bow strap bodysuit, and black faux turtleneck bodysuit from the collection and intend to get some more.
I’ve had some of my Express bodysuits for years. As they don’t seem to fade, stretch out or pill like some do. Although, the one down side to the bodysuit with shoulder ties is that they create bulk under blazers or jackets so are best worn on their own.

I’m going to add some more strapless ones and colored versions to my closet too, now that I know the quality, how they fit and how durable they are.

There’s lots of other reasons I recommend the women’s Express Body Contour collection, especially for white bodysuits. Some of the benefits include:
- They have compression to smooth & sculpt.
- There are no seams in case you want to wear it as an undergarment.
- A lot of the styles are available both in both brief or a thong cut which means no VPL.
- Machine washable.
- Affordable price point.
- Double layer of fabric in front & back which means they’re not see-through which is often an issue.
- Silky soft and designed to have a second skin feel.

Why are Express body contour bodysuits such a great wardrobe basic
Bodysuits are one of those pieces and base layers that work for all seasons. Style them on their own or layered under various blazers or jackets for completely different looks. A blazer will obviously give a much more sophisticated look than a denim jacket but there’s occasion for both.
Similarly, changing your bottoms from jeans to pant suits to joggers, skirts and shorts all give a different aesthetic and work with bodysuits.
The reason I like Express body contour bodysuits as my base layer is that they don’t create bulk and if I don’t want to wear a bra I don’t need to. As they offer both coverage and compression.
How to style Express bodysuits
Here’s how to style Express bodysuits, or any bodysuits, from casual to work wear to glam and an honest Express Body Contour bodysuits collection review.
It doesn’t have to be a white bodysuit, any neutral will work for these ways to style them. Some ways to style them include:
- With a blazer for a smart casual look.
- With a matching pants or skirt suit for work.
- Under a denim jacket for a more casual look.
- With jeans for everyday casual.
- Styled with faux leather joggers for an elevated, comfortable, casual outfit.
- With a skirt or shorts for the summer.
- Pretty much any style of shoes works so wear what fits with the rest of the outfit the best.

3 Easy ways to elevate your bodysuit
Bodysuits make a great base layer and are so easy to wear both casually or more elegantly:
The Express body contour tops I’m wearing
The Express body contour bodysuits in this edit are:
- Body Contour High Compression Scoop Neck Bodysuit – white
- Express Body Contour High Compression Mock Neck Bodysuit
- Body Contour High Compression Deep V-Neck Halter Bodysuit
There’s lots more styles, materials and colors in their bodysuit collection if you don’t like any of the styles I have. In fact, there’s over 120 pieces in the Express Body Contour collection and some of them come in up to 16 colors. So I’ve also linked some of my top picks as well as some of their Body Contour dresses. As they do exactly the same as the bodysuits and are a better price than some other brands.
How does Express bodysuit sizing run
I ordered my usual size XS in these bodysuits. I wish I could have sized down as I find they run a little big so the XS and is a little baggy on me but that’s the smallest the styles I ordered came in. Which is fine but means I don’t benefit from their compression. So next time I’m going to look for the styles that come in a XXS and order those instead. I’ll add more photos here when I do.
Normally I’d just exchange them but I’m traveling right now and they’re so affordable it was just easier to keep them. If in doubt, check the Express sizing chart before ordering.
