Fontainebleau hotel Las Vegas is finally open but there’s some hits & misses!
Fontainebleau Las Vegas is the towering blue resort that dominates that end of the Las Vegas strip skyline and had a long awaited opening. After almost 20 torturous years that it took to build the $3 billion resort hotel, the Fontainebleau Las Vegas reviews have been mixed and I can see why. I’m a Las Vegas local and this is my personal experience of staying at the Fontainebleau hotel Las Vegas, both the good and bad. From the food and service at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas restaurants and bars to the pool and King Strip View room we stayed at. Spoiler alert, we had to move rooms at 4am! Keeping reading to find out why and to definitely take note of when choosing and booking your room!

Fontainebleau Las Vegas stats
The Fontainebleau resort Las Vegas has:
- 3,644 luxury hotel rooms and suites.
- 550,000 square feet of customizable meeting and convention space.
- 150,000+ square feet of gaming space,
- Restaurants and bars.
- Pools.
- Spa

However, the reviews couldn’t be more mixed and I have both good and bad things to say about it. With the biggest complaint and that I 100% agree with being the disturbances from construction. I did not pay for a strip view to be woke up at 3am with a Jack hammer.

King Strip View room review
To start with, everything looked perfect with this 545 sq foot strip view room. To be fair, the view and table facing the view won me over.

The view is the most impressive part of this room and I love that they’ve positioned a table and chairs by the window so you can have your morning coffee or late night cocktails here.

Amenities:
- Cocktail accessories for making drinks
- 55″ LG TV (Standard) – 75″ LG TV (Suites)
- Spa-Style Robe and Slippers
- Clothing Steamer – so much quicker and safer on material than an iron.
- Bathroom Amenities: shower cap, showergel, etc in the prettiest blue bottles,
- T3 hair dryer
- Mini bar
- Luxe 500-thread count 100% cotton linens, including down alternative duvets
Even going to bed was fine. Although the pillows were too plump and my husband complained the duvet was too thick. The main issues started at 3am.

Construction starts around 3am on the strip view side and there was no sleeping through the noise. Even with the best ear plugs, which I always pack as I’m used to Vegas parties going on. So we moved to a mountain view room at 4am which was quiet but an inconvenience and we missed out on the view. So definitely check if there’s still construction going on before booking a strip view room!
Also, check your bill when you check out. They’d still charged us for the strip view room.

Things to do at the Fontainebleau resort Las Vegas
There are so many restaurants, bars, shows, the spa, pool and casino at the Fontainebleau hotel Las Vegas that deciding where to go is the hardest part. As Las Vegas locals, we’ve been to visit more than just for our anniversary staycation. These are some of our favorites, and the places we won’t be going back to
Fontainebleau Las Vegas restaurants review
There are so many places to eat and drink at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, whether you’re looking for affordable or have no budget.
Papi Steak Las Vegas
Papi Steak is fab if you want to splash on their briefcase tomahawk and have more of a party vibe. Even the cocktails are carefully curated and a show but expect to splash out in the credit card here!

Mother Wolf
Everyone had raved about Mother Wolf but now I’m seriously doubting they’ve ever been to Italy. It was ok but nothing special, it’s more of a casual, low key sharing food place.

Yes, the breads great but I want more than good bread. The whole experience from decor to food was underwhelming. I can’t fault the service though.

La Fontaine at Fontainebleau
This is an elegant restaurant for brunch or lunch at The Fontainebleau Las Vegas with friendly service but nothing to write home about. All of our meals came out at different times and they got my Mums order wrong. It was underwhelming for this price point.

Poodle Room
This is a members only club on the top floor and the highest bar on the Vegas strip. Sorry, no photos are aloud up there but the decor is beautiful and the views pretty epic. I’ve been for drinks, a hosted event and Afternoon Tea and every visit has been a wonderful experience.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas bars
Now the bars are why we keep coming back as they have such good live music and service. We love Collins piano bar for the service, champagne and live music. I highly recommend it for pre or post dinner drinks.

Nowhere speakeasy has to be one of my favorite bars at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. It’s the place to be for post dinner cocktails and live entertainment. Although, they have just introduced minimum table spends on certain nights so be sure to check before you go and make a reservation on Friday and Saturdays.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas pool
Either make a reservation or get there early to get a lounger in peak season. It’s a buzzy pool scene not pool party, that’s family friendly.
There’s also a poolside restaurant ‘La Cote’ that’s convenient and where the service can not be faulted.
