Lanvin Pencil cat bags are the latest style to hit my wishlist, here’s why
Lanvin bags are from the iconic French luxury brand which is one of the World’s oldest luxury fashion houses still in operation. It’s been around since 1889 when the Founder Jeanne Lanvin opened her first hat shop on Rue Boissy d’Anglas in Paris. Which quickly evolved into a fashion house with the first boutique opening four years later on Rue Du Faubourg Saint-Honoré to include clothing and leather goods. The Pencil Cat Lanvin handbag is one of the fashion house’s iconic bags and as a cat lover it was love at first sight. Plus the rectangular shape is perfect for checking off one of the biggest handbag trends this year ‘East meets West’.
Of course the stunning ombre blue one I’m pictured with is my favorite but it’s limited edition and I can’t find it anywhere. It’s the prettiest shades of blue I’ve seen on a bag and the perfect size to fit your phone and essentials.

Lanvin Cat Pencil bags signature embellishment is the sculptural, electroformed cat-shaped jeweled handle which comes in various iterations including rhinestone embellished, lacquered, gold and silver. The cat sculpture is inspired by an andiron belonging to the Founder Jeanne Lanvin and designed by French interior decorator Armand-Albert Rateau.
Along with the Lanvin Mother and Child logo which is in the center of all of the Lanvin Pencil cat bags. It was designed to honor the history of the house and represents the close relationship of the founder and women’s designer Jeanne Lanvin and her daughter Marguerite (who became Countess Marie-Blanche de Polignac).

One of the features I love about the Lanvin pencil cat bag is that it has a removable shoulder strap that can be adjusted. Being petite, I like to be able to shorten the strap. I also like the option to carry it by the handle. As I feel like shoulder bags are great for the day and then clutches for the evening.
