5 things I’m shopping for this season
My Spring shopping to update my closet is almost complete. I’ve been honing in on all of the Spring trends and getting them down to just the Spring wardrobe essentials. Which included pieces and dresses that I’m missing to complete on trend whole outfits for 2026. My Spring closet must haves include a Himalayan top handle bag which is top of my wishlist, a navy bag, navy blazer, chic shift dress for layering, and a coat that can be worn as a dress. All of which are massive fashion trends right now, and I that I can wear from now through Fall by layering over a dress or adding a long sleeve top or sweater underneath.

Here’s my spring shopping list of my fashion picks and Spring must haves as well as Summer to make complete outfits.
My top 5 Spring shopping closet additions
1. Spring shopping wishlist item #1: Himalayan bag
Nothing says luxury to me quite like a Himalayan bag. Whether that’s from a luxury brand like Hermès if you can score that, Dior or Bottega Veneta, or a luxe for less find from JW Pei. It’s still a neutral so you can wear it with most outfits and depending on the hardware, a great day to night bag.
White Himalayan bags aren’t just a Spring must have but something you can wear all year. They’re still in fashion this year and for a more luxe look, look for detailing like gold or crystal hardware. If you’re vegan, check out JW Pei vegan white croc styles.

2. Spring shopping must-have: Navy bag
A navy bag has been missing from my wardrobe for a long time but I finally got around to adding one to my bag collection. It’s one of those Spring closet wardrobe essentials that goes with so many colors and looks more fresh for Spring than black but just as chic.

I got the Atelier Madre – Manuel Dreesmann Navy Croissant Bag as it’s a super cute, unique, fun option for Spring and Summer 2026 but the size is still practical and big enough for my phone. If you’re looking for a more compact style, check out the Madre Atelier’s new Panino bag which has an adjustable strap vs the Croissant Bag’s fixed length strap.

3. Spring wishlist: Navy blazer
I’ve had a navy blazer on my Spring shopping wishlist for the longest time but have struggled to find one I love without splurging on Balmain. Since preppy styles are in fashion in a big way for Spring/Summer 2026 I thought it was finally time to hit the buy button. As seen at Tory Burch, Giorgio Armani and Christopher Esber Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collections to name a few.

As much as I love trendy pieces, I want a classic style so that I can get a few seasons wear out of it. I tend to prefer collared double breasted blazers or ones with gold buttons for a more glam look rather than simple single breasted, plain buttons.

4. Spring must haves: Classic shift dress for layering
Shift dresses will always be a classic but how you style them is everything. To keep them in style and wear them in a more fashion forward way for 2026:
- Layer them over button down shirts
- Layer them under sweaters
- Style with matching tights and pumps. This works really well with white for Spring.
They’re one of those styles you don’t need to spend a lot on and are so easy to dress up or down. Which is why they’re on my Spring must haves list.
5. Spring wishlist: Coat dress
Lastly, if it’s not on your Spring shopping list, consider a blazer dress. I love the coats worn as dress trend and have several blazer dresses which work perfectly for this. This brown leather version can be worn fastened on it’s own, or open over the matching dress or a bodysuit and jeans.
