Valentino women’s designer loafers are a classic but are they worth it?
Valentino Garavani loafers seemed to check all of the boxes when I was searching for women’s white leather designer loafers. They weren’t too chunky, had gold hardware, an almond shaped toe vs square or too round and were on sale. So time to put them to the test in this Valentino Garavani loafers review. I’ve been trying to find white designer loafers for the longest time as slides aren’t comfortable enough for walking lots on Summer vacation and sneakers are too casual. Whereas the classic women’s loafer is the perfect shoe for the day when you want both comfort and style! Here’s my honest opinion on the women’s Valentino Garavani VLogo chain loafers and if I think these Valentino flats are worth the money.

How do women’s Valentino loafers fit
I personally find the Vlogo chain Valentino Garavani loafers for women run really wide and big. I have pretty wide feet and they’re too wide even for me. So I’d definitely recommend sizing down half to a whole size from your regular size. Unless you’re planning on wearing thick socks with them all of the time.
Unfortunately I ordered my usual size as that’s what other reviews recommended and they’d sold out of smaller sizes for me to be able to exchange them.
The sizing is very specific to the style, the Valentino Garavani VLogo Chain Loafers run big and I’d suggest considering sizing down in those unless you have wide feet. However, this does not apply to the Valentino Garavani Vlogo Gate loafers or any other Valentino flats.
Are Valentino Garavani loafers worth it
I couldn’t find this in a smaller size and I hunted high and low as I do love this style of women’s Valentino shoes with the classic rather than chunky sole and gold hardware. I did find lots of other new Valentino loafer styles and lots of sale which I’ve shared below. I ended up with Hermès loafers mainly because of the timing and not being able to find another style I liked at the time.
Personally I think these Valentino Garavani loafers are worth it as they’re so iconic and instantly recognizable as Valentino shoes that are less knocked off than their rockstud iterations. Especially if you find them on sale and go for a more classic style of women’s white designer loafers that you know you’ll wear for years to come.
Are Valentino Garavani loafers good quality
Yes! The leather, soles and hardware are all sturdy on these women’s white designer loafers. These Valentino slip-on shoes are made in Italy. They’re made from polished calfskin on the upper, with a leather lining, leather sole with rubber injection at the 2cm heel.
I find smooth soles like this super slippery and difficult to walk in. So I’d definitely have them resoled before wearing them out for the first time.
Are Valentino women’s loafers comfortable
The leather is stiff to start with as it’s calfskin. So they don’t have much flexion in them and can rub across the toe joints to start with. However, calfskin also means they’re less likely to scratch and will be more durable than lambskin.

Luckily wearing socks with women’s loafers is a big fashion trend and also a great way of wearing them to help prevent blisters or rubbing while you’re breaking them in.
Other Valentino Garavani loafers reviews say that once they break in they’re comfortable. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to experience that as mine hit the return pile as they were too big.
