What Is ShopMy? How to Apply to Be a ShopMy Creator and How It Compares to LTK
ShopMy has become my go-to platform for creating affiliate links, connecting and collaborating with brands, and landing paid campaigns and gifting opportunities. But what is ShopMy, and why are so many creators switching to it? After years of using other affiliate platforms, including LTK, I made the switch and quickly saw why it’s gaining popularity. It’s incredibly easy to apply to be a ShopMy creator, start linking products, and monetizing the recommendations you’re already sharing with your audience. I’m sharing how ShopMy works, ShopMy vs LTK and why I prefer ShopMy, my tips for getting started and making the most of this creator affiliate platform, so keep scrolling.

This article contains affiliate links and gifts which do not affect my opinion or the price you pay. NB: If you apply and start using ShopMy, you always need to disclose when you’re using affiliate links and/or something’s been gifted.
What is ShopMy and how do you make money there
ShopMy connects creators, brands and shoppers through curated, trusted recommendations. Once you’re a ShopMy creator there is so much you can do. I’ll make a dedicated video to dive deeper but a few ways you can make money and benefit from ShopMy are:
- Create affiliate links to earn commissions. Choose from 50,000+ brand partners and add products to your digital shop. Just click and go with ShopMy’s SnapShop extension.
- Curate your own digital storefront with shoppable posts, gift guides, and curated collections.
- Connect your social accounts and import posts to ShopMy to link to all the products in the post.
- Accept gifting’s designed to help you grow, so you have more products to review, share and link to.
- Opportunities: which are paid campaigns.
- Build lasting brand relationships. As you go up in tiers you unlock collaborations that go beyond one campaign for lasting revenue.
- Connect directly with brands.
- Access custom discount codes.
- Refer other creators.
Here’s an example of a curated ShopMy shelf embedded into this article. If you click on any of the products and purchase it I earn commission. It’s that easy.
How to apply to be a ShopMy creator
It’s quick and easy to apply via this link. It’s not about how many followers you have but how engaged they are, and how consistent you are. Once you click the link you’ll be prompted to enter your basic information. Your information will be reviewed and if you’re accepted they’ll email you everything you need to get started.
Don’t wait on this, the longer you do, the more money you’re leaving on the table leaving your content unmonetized. It’s not about working harder but about linking to whatever you’re already sharing.

Who is ShopMy for
You should be using ShopMy if you:
- Regularly post shoppable content you can link to your favorite products on a consistent basis.
- Have an audience that’s engaged. It doesn’t matter how many followers you have.
- Want to grow via affiliate marketing and be able to link to thousands of brands to earn commission.
ShopMy VS LTK
I used LTK for about 8 years before switching to ShopMy, I say switching to but I do still use LTK for some things. I used to love LTK when they were selective about who they approved and you could actually get seen on their app. However, it’s now over saturated and impossible to make money on their app. I’ve listened to hours upon hours of their virtual calls, tried posting over 15x per day and it’s still minimal what I’m earning. Even though my creator ranking is in the top 3000.
When it comes to ShopMy vs LTK:
I use LTK for:
- I try to post on there once a day to stay relevant and visible there.
- I also still create ’boutiques’ and ‘shoppable carousels’ on there to embed into articles.
- Sharing OOTD’s in the app and then sharing that to my Instagram feed or stories so they’re monetized.
- Link to DM feature.
I use ShopMy for:
- Curating shelves which I’ll embed into articles.
- Importing social media posts, linking the products shown in that post and sharing those affiliate links.
- Gifts. There are way more gifting’s on ShopMy than I’ve ever had on LTK.
- Talking directly with brands to get the latest updates from new products to sales and collaborations.
- ‘Opportunities’ which are paid campaigns to earn more money on ShopMy and creating lasting brand relationships. So far I’ve had over 75 paid opportunities on there whereas I can count on 1 hand how many I’ve had on ShopMy.
- Grab and go links as I’m browsing or shopping to save and share. I use both the LTK and ShopMy plugins to compare commission rates and most of the time the commission is higher on ShopMy.
- Custom discount codes. Brands are really good about creating discount codes for you to share with your audience.
- I’ve never had to ask for a paid campaign, gift, or discount code, they’ve always been offered.
- Analytics: it’s really easy to track link clicks, sales, and top performing brands and products.
- MAJOR BENEFIT: ShopMy links update automatically, so your audience always has the best way to shop your picks.
- Creating a Talent Card which gives brands full transparency on the exact sales volume you do in a month and your conversion rate. To be 100% transparent with you, I’m sharing mine with you.

Full disclosure I’m ‘Icon status’ and score 99/100 on ShopMy which is why I get more giftings and opportunities.
