I always like to be a season or 2 ahead so that I can share everything with you here. The Spring runway shows outfits for 2026 were a lot more wearable this year than a lot have been in the past so no need to figure out the styling so much. Some trends last for a decade, some for a season so there’s no need to do a complete wardrobe overhaul. As a lot of the spring fashion trends from last year like leather, preppy outfits, and polka dots are sticking around for this years fashion trends for spring/summer 2026 too. From grey to ‘Cloud Dancer’, coats as dresses to dark denim washes, there’s a Spring style and fashion trend for everyone.

These are my favorite looks from the runway for Spring 2026. Including the Spring Summer 2026 fashion color trends, how to copy them to create on trend spring outfits for 2026, and the biggest trends and Spring styles for 2026 to inspire your shopping decisions and Spring outfits.

There were so many different looks on the Spring/Summer 2026 runways that it was hard to narrow it down to just a few key Spring 2026 must haves. These are the ones that popped up the most and are the most wearable IRL.
Polka dots, leather, and turtlenecks are still in style and big fashion trends for spring/summer 2026. While wide leg pants are still around, skinny pants were everywhere and the silhouettes took on sleeker, more tailored proportions.
For color fashion trends for Spring Summer 2026 think black, white, monochromatic beige and tan looks, red, brown, grey, and burgundy. Along with the usual pretty pastels for all of your spring outfits for 2026.

1. Preppy 2026 fashion
This preppy aesthetic has been going for a few years now and is one Spring look I can’t wait to wear. While last year was all about the polo dresses and shirts, this year it’s all about the double breasted navy blazer with gold button details. Ralph Lauren, Balmain, Veronica Beard, and Holland Cooper all do fantastic versions to nail this Spring 2026 fashion trend. The beauty of this trend is you can keep a lot of pieces you have out already on repeat, Think loafers with socks, white button down shirts under your navy blazer, socks and pleated skirts, and polo shirts.
Whether that’s a more fitted style as seen at Gucci or a polo dresses as seen at Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, a contrasting or matching color collar. I really like polo shirt dresses as an easy way to wear this 2026 women’s fashion trend. Get ready to embody the collegiate vibe of 2026.
2. Fashion trends spring/summer 2026 | Suede everything
This trend is only gaining traction and ranges from brown suede bags to shoes and dresses. It seems like everyone is adopting this fashion trend and it’s a quick, easy and very wearable way to update all of your Spring outfits for 2026.
3. What pants are in style for 2026? Skinny pants
Last spring we had volume, this year we have the opposite with the return of skinny pants. This women’s fashion trends for 2026 is one not everyone will be happy about but I love it for styling with knee high boots.
The most on trend way to wear skinny pants in 2026 is to go for one of 2 extremes. Either with a statement textured slim trouser or a minimalist pair like The Row’s black pants.
I’ll be wearing both everyday styles like dark denim jeans as well as my Gucci satin slim pants I’ve had for years. Like I said, not everything has to be replaced each year. I actually like keeping pieces as I have memories attached to them.
4. Spring Fashion 2025 Turtlenecks
Turtlenecks are nothing new and are here to stay for Spring 2026 fashion. So if you’re all about practical trends, this is a super wearable trend to jump on this season before it gets too warm.
For women’s fashion trends for spring/summer 2026 consider both a heavier weight option for spring and a light, breezy, sleeveless version for summer. Bonus points if it’s polka dot print. PS don’t think it has to be black or white, a pink turtleneck looks lighter and is appropriate for Spring.
As seen at Erdem SS26 (sleeveless turtleneck dresses), Balmain, and Alaïa SS26 (flowy sleeveless styles). If the runway shows are any indication of what the street style stars will pick up on, this ultra wearable trend will he huge!
I for 1, will definitely embracing this trend as one of my Spring 2026 must haves.
5. Spring Fashion Trends 2025 | Leather
Spring weather can be highly unpredictable so I love leather as a functional fashion which was seen all over Spring Summer runways. It’s leather jacets that are stealing the scene this season and that are the perfect layering piece. As seen at Khaite, Sacai, Celine, and Tibi. It doesn’t matter whether you go for a more fitted biker jacket, something with oversized proportions like Saint Laurent does so well or Nour Hammour’s funnel-neck jackets. It’s a Spring fashion for 2026 that’s so easy to wear IRL and the cuts are so flattering.
I live in Vegas but jackets are still the item I own the most of (besides shoes and bags). So it’s safe to say I’ll be wearing my leather Moto jackets again this Spring.
Embrace this 2026 fashion trend with:

6. Printed Scarves | 2026 Must Have Accessory
Prints are not just for the holidays! Printed scarves of all kinds walked down lots of the SS2026 runways including Celine, Hermès, Heirlome, and Louis Vuitton. When it comes to styling them, don’t just throw them around your neck! Get creative and tie them over jackets, around your head or even wear them as tops. There’s really a way for everyone to wear this spring trend.

7. The coat is the outfit for Spring 2026
Yes, layering is still in style for 2026 but if you like dressing to be as quick and easy as possible, which I totally do, this Spring trend is for you. Just pick a standout coat and make that the outfit. If you wanted to layer something underneath if you’re worried about overheating inside do so, but the coat should be the focal point of the outfit. Trench coats or the coat below is a perfect example of how to wear this trend.
8. Dark denim | Spring trend 2026
Forget faded or ripped jeans, this season it’s all about straight, slim or wide leg cut dark indigo jeans. As seen at Victoria Beckham styled with a matching fitted navy t-shirt, Tory Burch, Khaite with brown boots and a black leather jacket and Sportmax as a Canadian Tux. If you’re more of a skirts girl, dark denim pencil skirts are also in style.
9. Capes
If you’re looking for an elegant layering piece for Spring, capes are it. I still have my long black cape from the last time they were in fashion. It’s one of those pieces that can instantly make an outfit look polished. I personally prefer a long, slimline fit for a streamlined look. As seen at Kallmeyer, TWP, Cos, Hermès and Burberry. When it comes to styling capes, think sleek black pants or over the knee boots, gold jewelry and structured bags.
10. Nighttime wear as daytime wear
This is for either the brave or those who like to be very comfortable. This isn’t about lace slip dresses, those I love, this is Pajama dressing. Now while I think it can look chic as resort wear, I’d personally leave full matching silk sets for that specifically. I feel like silk looks best for everyday as separates not as a full set which enters PJ territory. Instead style a beautiful silk shirt with jeans, tailored trousers, or pencil skirts for a wearable everyday Spring outfit.
11. Spring Fashion Print Trends 2026 | Animal Prints
I feel like animal print has been in style for a couple of years now and pretty much any print goes. Leopard, tiger, zebra, and cow prints were all over the SS26 runways from Khaite to Alaïa. For the most on trend way to wear animal print this season style an animal print maxi skirt with a dark denim top, cropped animal print jacket with tailored pants or go head to toe in an animal print maxi dress or coat. If a full animal print outfit is too much of a statement for you, opt for an animal print pair of boots or handbag instead.
12. Metallics and sequins
I’m never going to be one to turn down any chance to bring on the sparkle. We’ve been seeing sequins for the day not just for the night over recent years and that trend continues. Although sequin gowns and dresses are very much in style for SS26 too. Maybe just save the full on sequin outfit for the evening, but sparkly separates styled with more relaxed pieces e.g. a sparkly top and relaxed pants or a sparkly mini skirt and turtleneck are fun combos for the day. As seen at Staud, Stella McCartney, Tory Burch and Rabanne to name a few. I have some sequin dresses on order so will update this with photos soon.

I’ve been wearing polka dots since they came back in style in a major way last year. They always make me feel so retro chic and feminine. Feel free to wear head to toe polka dots or mix and match polka dot pieces with solid pieces. As seen at Chloe, Fendi and Sportmax SS26 runway shows.
14. Spring 2026 color trends | 2026 Pantone color of the year ‘Cloud dancer’
Cloud Dancer AKA natural white is the 2026 Pantone color of the year so expect to see a lot of light colors this year. I love this color as it’s flattering on most people and a neutral colors that’s ever so versatile. If you don’t want to wear it, look for natural white bags, shoes like these Hermés loafers, or boots instead.
A few other Spring trends worth mentioning is grey, bra tops, trench coats and beaded jewelry.
