Are wedge sneakers in or out for 2024? Converse Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge might sway you
Converse Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge Sneakers are the newest Converse shoes to drop and here’s everything you need to know about these funky high tops. Including an honest Converse Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge review on fit, comfort and quality. Wedge sneakers might not have seen the light of day since the 2010’s when Isabel Marant’s wedge sneakers were the hottest shoes to be seen in. Every celebrity including Rihanna, Gisele Bündchen and Gwen Stefani were wearing them but TikTokers like Clara Perlmutter and influencers brought them back in style last year and they are about to become one of the hottest shoe trends for 2024. I was one of the first to get my hands on these egret, white and black Converse wedge sneakers which are the newest wedge high tops on the scene. Here’s everything you need to know about and how to style them.

Converse Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge Sneakers review
The Converse De Luxe Wedge sneakers from Revolve are very different to my normal style. They’re more grungy and casual but since wedge boots and wedge sneakers are making a comeback this year, this is a great way to combine both trends.

The Converse De Luxe Wedge Sneakers from Revolve are a cross between the Converse x Martine Ali Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge and Converse 70 De Luxe heels but with a few differences. The Converse x Martine Ali Chuck 70 De Luxe is leather vs canvas and only comes in monochromatic black not white like the new De Luxe wedge. It also has a removable gaiter which these don’t.
In comparison, the Converse 70 De Luxe heels are also close as they come in canvas and both black and white but are a heel and not a wedge.

The Converse Chuck 70 De Luxe wedge sneakers are unmistakably a Chuck Taylor design but with a fresh spin for 2024 with the trending lugged wedge sole.
What you might not be able to tell from the photos is some of the more intricate details which include:
- Square, angled toe.
- Squared off, slanted, tread heel.
- Durable canvas upper.
- Classic Stitched white and black Converse Chuck Taylor 70 All Star ankle patch.
- 2 eyelets on the inside edge of the shoe for more airflow (not laces).
- Made in Vietnam.
- Approx 90mm / 3.5 inch wedge
- Approx 40mm / 1.5 inch platform

How does sizing run? Big, small or true to size
Converse says that the Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel & Ct70 De Luxe Wedge Sneaker run large and to order a half size down. I recommend doing the same for the Converse De Luxe Wedge sneakers.

As I have the Converse De Luxe Wedge high top sneakers in a 6.5 US / 4.5 UK or 37 European. Which is my normal European size but I’m normally a US 6.5-7 and UK 4. I find shoe conversion charts a little of as I’m a size US 7 and a UK 4 but women’s shoe sizing conversion charts show a US 7 being a UK 5 which would be like boats on me. So, I find they run slightly big if I’m basing it off US and European sizing as the 6.5 is a little big but fine with thicker socks.

However, if I was ordering my usual UK size I would have ordered a UK4/US 6 (not the 4.5) which would probably have been perfect but a half to a full size down from my usual US size.
So if you’re ordering based off your UK or European size order your usual size. If you’re ordering based off your US size you may wish to size down half a size. Revolve offers free shipping and returns so play around and see what works the best for you.

Are the Converse De Luxe Wedge sneakers comfortable
The wedge sneakers aren’t as comfortable as sneakers but more comfortable than most of my heeled ankle boots. Because of the weight of them they’re more of your street style, everyday fashion shoe. I’d still be comfortable walking around all day in them though.

Shop Converse Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge Sneakers
The latest Converse sneakers drop is on January 18th 2024. So get them while you can, because if I know anything about Revolve (I’ve been an Ambassador for 2 years) is that these wedge high tops will sell out fast.
Revolve actually has one of the biggest selection of women’s Converse shoes including the Chuck 70 heel and convertible Ct70 De Luxe Wedge Sneaker with it’s removable knee high gaiter.
Are wedge sneakers in style
Get ready for a massive wedge sneakers resurgence in 2024. Wedges might not have been all over the 2024 runway shows but they are all over Instagram and TikTok with influencers flooding to the trend. As seen on Clara Perlmutter, Lindsay Vrčkovnik,
I know some people are hesitant about this trend and either love or hate it but love anything with a heel that will give me an extra height boost and elongate my legs. So of course I’m all over the wedge sneakers trend for 2024 and any and all wedge styles to be honest. It’s the comfort of flats with the height benefit of heels.
A freaky fun idea that feels right in line with what young people want. Sneaker wedges remind world-weary Gen Zers of a simpler era. They’re designed to be comfortable…And they’re sexy, but not in an obvious way.

How to style wedge sneakers & Converse De Luxe Wedge sneakers
When I first got them I wasn’t exactly sure how I was going to style them. As I haven’t worn anything like these in over a decade and the styling was a little different back then! Don’t style them with skinny jeans unless you want to look like you just rolled out of the 2010’s. These are designed to be fun and fabulous but you have to be a little daring and less boring with your styling to keep them in style rather than looking dated.

After some serious digging for celebrity outfit inspo, Pinterest and fashion editorials they’re actually more versatile than I first thought. Try styling them this year with:
- A short summer dress.
- Like Hailey Bieber with a midi or maxi satin slip dress (with or without visible socks).
- Wide leg pants or jeans.
- Cargo pants and a baby tee for retro vibes.
- Denim shorts and a tank top or bralette.
- Leather pants, a t-shirt and leather jacket.
- Baggy Bermuda shorts and fitted top with a low slung belt.
- A blazer, bandeau top and wide leg pants.
- With a pleated skirt, knee high socks and cute top.
- Micro shorts, a crop top and cropped jacket or blazer.
- A midi skirt and cropped tank as seen on Emily Ratajkowski.
- More Converse and skinny jeans outfit ideas.

How to lace Converse sneakers
There’s so many ways to lace them and Converse has a whole article on the 4 main ways to lace them if you need some inspo:
- Straight laced for a minimalistic look.
- Criss Cross which is how they come.
- Latice show lacing in a zig zag pattern.
- Double laced with contrasting color laces.
- Wrapped around the ankles (great if your laces are too long).
