Why this microcurrent device might be the solution to going needle free
Looking for the best botox alternative at home for a non-surgical facelift? Check out ZIIP Halo 2.0! This device is the ultimate solution for a younger-looking skin without any injections. I’m sharing how to use your ZIIP Beauty device to achieve the best results. If you have botox, this is also for you as it can still help to improve the overall appearance of your skin which can lead to less units being needed or longer time between treatments according to ZIIP Beauty. I’ve tried everything from Frownies to radiofrequency microneedling but this is the best at home botox alternative I’ve tried. Plus, I’ll share a few of my favorite ways to use it and my before and after photos after a year of consistent use.
I’ve been using ZIIP Halo as a microcurrent botox alternative at home for over two years and have had one-on-one training with ZIIP founder Melanie Simon, giving me a deeper understanding of how to get the best results from the device than most independent reviewers. I’m not a licensed skincare professional – all opinions are my own based on personal experience, supported by information from ZIIP and approved by the brand. I bring professional beauty formulation training through my own cosmetics line, Dawes Custom Cosmetics, to every device review I write. I thought ZIIP sounded like a bit of a splurge but once I started seeing the results it’s the best beauty product I’ve ever used for skin tightening at home and the longest I’ve stayed consistent with something. If you’ve watched my reviews, you’ll know I’m not the hype girl, I’m very honest and always share the pros and cons and not every product is right for everyone. But this! This is a game changer for wrinkles and lifting. You can read my full ZIIP Halo 2.0 review for more details.
Why I Use ZIIP Halo 2.0 Instead of Botox
I’ve been using this ZIIP treatment plan as a botox alternative at home as:
- Botox and Dysport doesn’t really work on me, the results are very temporary and it’s so expensive.
- ZIIP Halo 2.0 is cheaper than just 1 session of botox.
- The results are long lasting if you are consistent using it. Even if you do have botox, this is a great way of prolonging results between sessions or serving as an alternative at a fraction of the cost.
The treatment plan for the Botox alternative at home is to alternate between Instant Gratification and The Lift 5-6 days a week for at least 6 weeks. ZIIP claims 87% of users agree the product is effective in immediate lifting and firming and gives a 28% reduction in wrinkles in just 6 weeks.

The results will last up to 72 hours but you need to be consistent with it to see long term results and improvements over time. I know I keep harping on about consistency but it’s the only way you’re going to see real results. The microcurrent will give you an instant lifting and sculpting effect by tightening and toning your muscles and the nanocurrent will give you long-lasting results by enhancing your skins health and appearance as this waveform stimulates collagen production and skin cell regeneration.

It’s really easy to customize how you use your ZIIP Halo 2.0 to target your areas of concern. I’ve shared both treatments and some of my favorite ways to use it in the video above, and this is why I think it’s the best microcurrent device.
I’ve been using ZIIP and then ZIIP Halo 2.0 for over two years, so let me show you my before and afters and why I’ve been using this as a botox alternative at home.

Before and after using ZIIP Halo 2.0 as Botox alternative at home
It’s not going to freeze your face like botox but this has been the best botox alternative aka non surgical facelift at home I’ve tried so far. So it’s definitely a device I’m going to be consistent with.

How to maintain results from your ZIIP Halo 2.0
After 6 weeks you can either maintain results by keeping up with this protocol or play around with any of the other treatment plans like glass skin, or lymphatic drainage, or just pick a treatment from day to day based on what you want to achieve.
ZIIP Halo 2.0 as a Botox Alternative – Your Questions Answered
In my experience, yes but with an important distinction. Botox freezes muscle movement to reduce wrinkles, while microcurrent works by toning and lifting facial muscles and stimulating collagen production at a cellular level. The results are different in nature: microcurrent gives you a lifted, firmer, more sculpted appearance rather than frozen lines but for anyone looking to address sagging skin, loss of definition and fine lines without injections, microcurrent is the most effective at-home option I’ve tried. ZIIP Halo 2.0 specifically goes further than standard microcurrent by adding Nanocurrent technology which works at a cellular level for long-term results that build over time.
The immediate lifting and tightening effect from microcurrent lasts up to 72 hours. The longer-term results, improved skin tone, reduced fine lines and firmer skin, build with consistent use over 6 weeks and continue to improve the more regularly you use it. Unlike botox which wears off completely, ZIIP results are cumulative, meaning the more consistently you use it the better your baseline skin becomes over time.
For the botox alternative treatment plan, ZIIP recommends alternating between the Instant Gratification and The Lift treatments 5 to 6 days a week for at least 6 weeks to see meaningful lifting results. After that you can maintain results by using it 2 to 3 times a week, or continue with the more intensive protocol if you want to keep building. Consistency is everything with this device, the results don’t stick if you stop using it, similar to how botox requires top-ups.
In my personal experience it depends entirely on what you’re trying to achieve and if you have Botox resistance like I do or not. Botox is more effective for deep expression lines and completely freezing movement in specific areas, nothing at home replicates that. But for overall lifting, skin quality, glow and addressing early to moderate signs of aging, ZIIP Halo 2.0 has given me better cumulative results than botox ever did, and botox never worked particularly well on me personally. At $359 with code EVAD it’s also cheaper than a single botox session and you own it indefinitely. If you’re looking to avoid needles or toxins, or extend the time between treatments, ZIIP is the most effective device I’ve found for that.
ZIIP Halo 2.0 is $399, or $359 with my code EVAD. A single botox session typically costs $300 to $600 depending on the number of units and areas treated, and needs repeating every 3 to 4 months. That means botox costs $900 to $2,400 per year indefinitely. ZIIP is a one-time purchase you use daily, making it significantly more cost effective over time, especially since the results build rather than disappear between sessions.
Yes, ZIIP actually recommends it, you just have to avoid the areas you have botox when using microcurrent but can use nanocurrent everywhere. Using ZIIP alongside botox can help improve overall skin quality, boost collagen and extend the time between treatments by maintaining muscle tone and skin health in between sessions. ZIIP suggests waiting until your botox has fully settled before using the device. This is typically around 2 weeks after treatment, then continuing your regular ZIIP routine as normal. Always consult with your injector.
