If you think après ski sweaters are just for the ski lodge or resort think again. This winter is the perfect time to try the ski-girl aesthetic and these cozy sweaters are how to do it. I actually hate the cold and can count the number of times I’ve gone skiing on one hand. However, tempt me with après-ski and a picture perfect snow scene or just a good cocktail bar in the winter and I’m more than happy to embrace the alpine look to stay warm while looking chic. For everyday winter fashion, I’ll be going for an Apres-ski slogan sweater styled with jeans, leather pants or leggings. When it comes to footwear something like Uggs, snow boots, black leather knee high boots or even tights and closed toe pumps work depending on the weather and where you are. In Prague I’ll probably be wearing a North Face jacket or cropped puffer jacket on top. In London a long faux fur coat, depending on how much I can cram in my suit case.
If you prefer something more sophisticated than slogan sweaters, Fair Isle knits are the way to go. Style these with jeans, leather pants, leggings, or a skirt of any length (with tights of course). Even short shorts with tights and knee high boots work for this look, just maybe not at the ski lodge!
