The chic Après-Ski sweaters every woman needs for a stylish Winter whether you’re hitting the ski resort or not
If you’re headed to the Alps, Aspen or simply dressing for the cute winter aesthetic, a great après-ski sweater is the key to looking chic. Whether it’s the moment the ski boots come off or the moment the fashion boots go on, it’s a fun Winter aesthetic to play around with. This season’s best women’s après ski sweaters blend cozy textures, luxury fabrics, and fashion-forward details. But don’t think this look is just reserved for fireside at the ski cabin or chalet bar. It’s a winter piece that looks and feels just as good at home by the fire or local bar as it does at the ski resort. Think alpine patterns, soft cashmere, modern knits, classic Fair Isle styles, and sporty-luxe silhouettes designed to make your winter wardrobe feel instantly elevated. These are the most stylish women’s après-ski sweaters to wear with or without snowfall.

Cozy up in the Après-ski sweater trend
If you think après ski sweaters are just for the ski lodge or resort think again. This winter is the perfect time to try the ski-girl aesthetic and these cozy sweaters are how to do it. I actually hate the cold and can count the number of times I’ve gone skiing on one hand. However, tempt me with après-ski and a picture perfect snow scene or just a good cocktail bar in the winter and I’m more than happy to embrace the alpine look to stay warm while looking chic. So while I have no plans to hit the slopes, I do plan on investing in an après-ski sweater to wear while wandering around the Christmas markets in Prague.
What is après-ski fashion?
Think outfits that are warm and that make you look like you belong at a ski resort (even if you aren’t), with lodge chic or ski bunny being the more fashion forward way to wear this aesthetic. Think outfits like snug unitards and puffer jackets, matching knit sets, Nordic, Fair Isle, or ski slogan sweaters (jumpers) and leggings, faux fur jackets and snow boots.

How to style Après ski sweaters
How you style them will vary depending on whether you’re actually doing apres-ski or just going for the aesthetic. At a ski-resort you’re more likely to be styling you’re après-ski sweater with technical gear or leggings, and snow boots vs cute knee high boots.

For everyday winter fashion, I’ll be going for an Apres-ski slogan sweater styled with jeans, leather pants or leggings. When it comes to footwear something like Uggs, snow boots, black leather knee high boots or even tights and closed toe pumps work depending on the weather and where you are. In Prague I’ll probably be wearing a North Face jacket or cropped puffer jacket on top. In London a long faux fur coat, depending on how much I can cram in my suit case.
If you prefer something more sophisticated than slogan sweaters, Fair Isle knits are the way to go. Style these with jeans, leather pants, leggings, or a skirt of any length (with tights of course). Even short shorts with tights and knee high boots work for this look, just maybe not at the ski lodge!
For Aspen affluent vibes, Prada has a fabulous ski sweaters perfect for creating après-ski looks.
