L’Academie is one of my go-to brands on Revolve | Here’s why this sophisticated women’s ready-to-wear label is always on repeat
L’Academie clothing is a brand on Revolve that always ends up on my Revolve favorites list as their styles tend to be more elegant and stylish but still contemporary. L’Academie clothing prices, while not designer or luxury can be a little on the higher end for mid-priced women’s fashion. Unless you snag a sale find. This is my experience with the brand so far from L’Academie dresses to pants sizing, quality and choice. Plus what’s on my wishlist this season.

L’Academie Review
Here’s what I’ve found so far when it comes to this women’s fashion brand. Both the good and the bad and some tips for ordering.
L’Academie review | Dresses
I’m a girly girl so always end up with more dresses and matching sets than anything else. Not one dress I’ve ordered from them has hit the return pile. They always fit to perfection and end up on repeat.
Cream bouclé and gold button dress
This L’Academie mini dress is my newest L’Academie purchase on Revolve. I fits me perfectly, has elegant gold buttons and a hidden button at the bottom you can fasten for more modesty or leave undone to show more leg. It’s one of those versatile dresses that works for the office as well as it does for brunch or cocktails.
Stripe maxi dress
Another hit dress from L’Academie where the fit is perfection. It’s thicker material and not see-through at all. I’ve worn it with both flats and heels and I just add a white leather jacket when it gets colder out.
L’Academie green midi dress
This green midi ribbed knit turtleneck dress was my first purchase from L’Academie. I choose it for the color, fit and going into Spring. As I always end up too hot in long sleeve sweater dresses in Spring.
The fit was absolutely perfect and I’d say a true XS. The color was exactly as shown online and considering it’s 55% nylon, 40% acrylic, 5% wool it wasn’t too hot or itchy. The only downside is that it’s dry-clean only. I’d normally style it belted but Chanel has my gold chain belt now for repairs.

The Cool Hour
Pink blazer dress
I love the color and cut of this pink, statement shoulder L’Academie dress and it’s cut out back. It does wrinkle easily as it’s 55% linen, 45% viscose but that makes it lovely and breezy. I belted mine to give it more of a waist as it’s a boxy oversized blazer dress style.
Satin slip dress
This white satin midi dress is one of the few long dresses I haven’t had to have hemmed (I’m 5’2″). I got it for Croatia this Summer. It’s so lightweight and silky on that it’s going to be ideal. It’s also easy to dress up or down.
L’Academie jumpsuits, playsuits/rompers | Revolve brands I love
I’m a big fan of rompers, playsuits and jumpsuits as they’re so easy to throw on. This was another great fit and I love the color and pockets. It does crease really easily and you do have to unfasten the buttons to take it on and off. However, it’s on sale now for nearly half price so definitely a good sale find.
Dylan romper in white
This romper is another hit from this brand on Revolve, It runs true to size (IMO) and has pockets. It doesn’t come with a belt but it’s easy to throw on one of your own to dress it up or down.
Pink and gold button skirt suit (sold separately)
This pink skirt and cardigan matching set is giving Balmain vibes at about 10% of the cost. It feels very Jackie O and elegant while still feeling fresh and modern.
It fits to perfection and is lightweight enough to wear for Spring and Fall. I’ve been styling it as a set with gold earrings, strappy nude heel sandals and my pink Versace bag. However, I’m also planning on wearing the top with white wide leg pants and jeans to get more wear from it. If the shoulder pads are too much for you, they are detachable. The only downside is that it’s hand wash only, so don’t go spilling Marinara sauce or red wine down it!
Another elegant matching set by L’Academie clothing where the fit and quality is perfection. I’ve worn it for both lunches and evenings out and because it’s a skort and not a skirt you can get away with how short it is.
L’Acadamie bottoms | Skirts, pants/trousers
I was so excited to order these high waisted, black leather pants as a change from my fitted pair. As I thought they’d go perfectly with the more fitted tops I ordered and I get so much wear out of leather pants.
However, as much as I love them and they were the absolute perfect fit the cut just wasn’t flattering. As much as I wanted a looser style, I wanted them baggy like they looked on the model, not clown pants like they looked on me. There was so much material around my thighs it was ridiculous and I have muscular thighs so things are normally tight.
What I will say is that the quality was great, they were super soft. The sizing was also perfect too. They just went on sale so they’re definitely worth giving a go if you’re looking for a high waisted, less fitted style. Especially as they offer free shipping and returns but just be prepared that they may be too baggy.

I’ve found their sizing to run true to size but your best bet is to scroll to the bottom of each product and read the reviews where there’s a sizing review based on peoples feedback.
