New Years Shoes Accessories
No New Years Eve outfit’s complete without the right accessories. If you don’t have anything that goes with your new dress, these are my favorite shoes from kitten heels to killer heels, bags, evening gloves accessories for New Years 2025-2026.
Most of them are versatile enough to be worn again and again for weddings and nights out. I tend to prefer simple shoes and accessories with sparkly New Years dresses and sparkly shoes and accessories with black or plain outfits.

Don’t forget the underwear
Underwear can make or break an outfit! A beautiful dress doesn’t look quite so elegant with VPL or bra straps. I’m a thong girl and as much as I love sexy lacy thongs, some dresses require seamless underwear or shapewear.
I was taught by Italians to wear red underwear for good luck on New Years Eve. I still do if my dress doesn’t require nude underwear as I’m big on holiday traditions.
Spanx are nothing to be embarrassed about. My Spanx leggings are my favorite leggings. If your dress is tighter than you’d usually go for, it’s your time of the month, or you want a little extra help, grab a pair for a more flattering fit.
Spanx have got so clever with their designs now and a lot of the shapewear bottoms include strapless, backless or low back bras. Which solve the problem on the top and bottom in one,
If you prefer to go braless, nipple petals go a long way to avoid too much distraction in that area (ladies, you know what I mean). Otherwise a strapless bra is an easy option.

Posing for New Years Eve photos
Most of us have a body part we aren’t so kind to ourselves about. If you don’t, just skip this part. Mine’s my arms. If you want your arms to look slimmer in your New Years Eve pictures create space between your arms and body either by:
- Holding your bag or clutch at around waist height with a bent elbow.
- Holding the stem of a glass with both hands in front.
- Placing one arm behind someone and the other holding their hand or on your hip.
- Putting your arms behind each other in a group photo.
For a slimmer torso, angle your body away from the camera, don’t be completely straight on. I always shoot up to look taller and slimmer but others prefer to be shot from above to minimize double chins so pick your preference.
