I wish I had the budget for the Dior L’Or de J’adore by Jean-Michel Othoniel Limited series piece to share that with you too, maybe one day!
How many types of J’adore are there?
There are currently 5 different J’adore Dior Eau De Parfum fragrances, along with the same scents in eau de toilette, body lotion and form. The 5 J’adore fragrances are:
- The original J’adore Eau de Parfum
- J’adore L’Or
- Dior J’adore Eau de Parfum Infinissime
- J’adore Parfum D’eau (alcohol free)
- L’Or de J’adore by Jean-Michel Othoniel Limited series piece.

J’adore Eau De Parfum review
The original J’adore perfume which was designed to be a grand feminine floral by the House of Dior.
All of the elegant J’adore perfume bottles are the same almost teardrop shape with a glamorous gold banded collar and glass ball stopper. This classic bottle is instantly recognizable and a classic style that runs through the entire fragrance collection in it’s various iterations.
Which J’adore perfume is the best depends on personal preference as we all like different scent profiles and strengths. So I’ve broken it down into the differences between them rather than which is best to help you find the right one for you.
What does Dior J’adore smell like?
I find J’adore eau de parfum heavy on white flowers and although it’s intense and long wearing, still a summery, fresh, day time fragrance. It’s completely different to Miss Dior‘s rose forward scent. As the main floral notes of this perfume are Ylang-Ylang, Turkish Damascus Rose essences, and 2 different Jasmines: Jasmine Grandiflorum from Grasse and Indian Jasmine Sambac.
While I find it a feminine perfume, I wouldn’t say it’s a sensual perfume or one for the evening. I tend to prefer still floral but slightly warmer, amber fragrances for the evening like Chanel No. 5, Coco Chanel or Penhaligon’s Empressa.
I find it lasts for around 6-8 hours before needing a reapplication but a little goes a long way. So don’t overdose hoping it’ll last longer, it’ll just be too overpowering.
Dior J’adore Parfum D’eau (alcohol free) review
Firstly I adore the fact that this J’adore parfum is alcohol free. I feel a lot better about putting it on my neck and decolletage knowing it doesn’t have the drying or discoloring effects alcohol can. It’s created with a patented alcohol-free formula exclusive to Dior. Yet supposed to have the same long-lasting intensity of their eau de parfum.
The J’adore Parfum D’eau bottle differs from the original perfume in the fact that it’s in a modern, chic and minimalistic Opalescent white bottle.
What does Dior J’adore Deau smell like?
How does J’adore D’eau compare to J’adore perfume? Jadore parfum d’eau is less intense than the original perfume. It still has the same bright white floral notes of jasmine but also has Neroli and Chinese Magnolia. Overall I find it softer and fresher.
So if you’re looking for a less intense, alcohol free fragrance give this J’adore a go.
Dior J’adore L’Or review
This is another Dior perfume by Perfume Creative Director for Parfums Dior Francis Kurkdjian. I couldn’t get a sample of this to review personally but will update this as soon as I do.
The bottle is the same shape and glass design as the original but the gold strand J’adore necklace has been redesigned with a smoother metal that looks like molten gold.
What does Dior J’adore L’Or smell like?
The olfactory notes say this is a solar women’s perfume with intense floral notes that’s a deeper golden color than the original. So I’m imagining an even more intense white floral scent with notes of Orange blossom, jasmine and centifolia rose absolutes.
Dior J’adore Infinissimi review
J’adore eau de parfum Infinissime is my absolute favorite of all of the Dior J’adore perfumes. It’s a rich and heady scent with notes of citrus, florals and creamy sandalwood. It’s the same intensity as J’adore eau de parfum and it’s in the exact same bottle. However, the fragrance is a deeper golden color.
What does Dior J’adore Infinissimi smell like?
Because J’adore eau de parfum infinissime uses some of the same J’adore flowers: Centifolia Rose, Sambac Jasmine, and Ylang-Ylang, it has a similar floral bouquet. Where it differs in so many ways is with the woody and warm accents of creamy Sandalwood that give it more depth and complexity. Along with bergamot, blood orange and Grasse Tuberose which again adds depth and complexity for a sweet and intoxicating perfume.
J’adore perfumes comparison | Find the right scent for you
While all 4 J’adore Dior eau de parfums are based on white florals there are differences in intensity and nuances between each.
Overall J’adore Eau de Parfum Infinissimi is my favorite. As I find it warmer, more complex and woody than the others. I’d wear it in the evenings as a feminine, sensual perfume that’s really long lasting. It’s also the only one I got compliments on my perfume when wearing it.
If you’re looking for a light, fresh, floral fragrance try J’adore Deau.
For a more bright floral fragrance try J’adore Eau De Parfum.
If you’re looking for a very intense perfume that’s even more powerful and floral try J’adore L’or fragrance.
