Christian Dior J’Adior slingback heel pumps had been on my radar and wishlist for a while as I adore the cute J’Adior ribbon but I didn’t like the kitten heel on these Dior shoes. As soon as I saw the high heel version of the J’Adior slingback heels in this fashion houses store I was sold as I didn’t have a pair of slingback designer pumps. What makes them unique and special to me besides the coveted Dior silhouette is the logo ribbon which I haven’t seen anyone else do. It’s so feminine, such a chic style statement and you know I love a good logo. As well as Christian Dior’s gold lucky symbol on the sole. Here’s my honest, non-sponsored opinion and complete J’Adior slingback heels pumps review. Including sizing, if they’re worth it, where to get them and if Dior slingbacks are comfortable or not.

What colors and fabrics do the Dior slingback shoes come in?
The Dior slingback pumps come in so many colors, prints and fabrics now in both the kitten and high heel version. Like most of us, I already have lots of nude and black pumps and didn’t want another pair.
I wanted something a bit different and if you’ve known me for a while, you know how much I wear and love pink. Which is why when the pink Dior slingbacks with their signature Dior branding popped up in my size at a sale price I hit buy.
This seasons Houndstooth version from this fashion designer is so stunning and elegant and such a great statement shoe. Since they’re black and white, they’ll go with pretty much everything from dresses to pants to jeans.
If you’re considering buying a pair of Dior pumps definitely consider how much you’ll wear a certain color and what you’d wear them with. As much as I love the red Dior sandals, I knew I’d wear them a lot less than pink.
The new Dior white and gold Toile de Jouy would be beautiful for a Spring and Summer heel or even as a bridal shoe. For a classic everyday shoe, their black or nude calfskin is perfect for work, going out and everyday. It’s also calfskin leather which is more durable and scratches less than lambskin. The black shade would also be another versatile option for an elegant look.
Dior Shoe Sizing
If you’re wondering if the Dior slingback sizing runs small, big or true to size, I find the Christian Dior slingbacks run big. I sized down 1/2 a size even though they have a pointy toe. My girlfriend ordered her regular size. Their website says that they run true to size but to order half a size larger than your normal size. Confused?! I’d definitely recommend trying them on in a store!
If you can’t get to a store I’d suggest ordering your regular size if you have wider feet and 1/2 a size down if you have a narrow heel as the ribbon is fixed so you can’t tie it looser or tighter.
How much do the Dior J’Adior shoes cost
The ribbon Dior slingback pumps range from $950 (before tax) for the solid color slingback pumps to $1450 for the embroidered versions. If the regular price is a little too high, you can keep an eye out for pre-loved ones in good condition on sites like Fashionphile.
What heel heights do the Dior Slingback pumps come in
These Dior shoes come in 3 heel heights, flat, 6.5cm/2.5″ heel and 10cm/4″ heel which is the pair I have. I like that they’re delicate and feminine heels rather than chunky, sturdy heels as it’s a classic design that’s less likely to date.
Are Dior slingback heels comfortable?
If you’re used to wearing high heels then yes I think you’ll find the Dior j’adior slingback pump comfortable. I personally find the Dior slingback pumps comfortable even with the pointed toe and the ribbon doesn’t cut in. If you’re looking for a really comfortable shoe, you could always order the flats instead.
Are the Dior shoes worth it?
Honestly, that comes down to your budget and how much you want to pay for a pair of shoes. All fashion house shoes tend to be quite expensive. Dior’s quality is consistent and these are everything you’d expect from Dior shoes.
I found mine listed in ‘excellent’ condition on Fashionphile which brought the price down a lot. They have quite a large selection most of the time and they also have a great return policy. So if they don’t fit you can send them back and order a different pair in the right size.
They’re one of those shoes I get endless compliments on and always feel special wearing. In fact, updating this post made me realize I need to wear them more often.

This Couture house does change their styles quite often and the prices have been going up quite frequently over the last couple of years. So if you like a pair, get them before the style is discontinued or the prices go up.

My Dior slingbacks were listed in ‘excellent’ condition and showed no signs of wear. The only reason they weren’t listed as ‘giftable’ is because they came without the box. They have various Christian Dior shoes, both newer and older styles if you’re trying to hunt something from past collections down.
